I started exploring with flatter, charcoal drawings 2+ yrs ago. I honestly wanted to cut back on buying expensive paint supplies. I like to cut out or rip out the main figure because my right hand loves to smudge charcoal all over my paper. I often choose not to include elaborate backgrounds so as to not distract from the entire worlds one can find in a figure or face alone.
